1. Surfaces cleaning after the fires is carried out with the purpose to remove traces of soot and to reduce content of carcinogenic combustion products in superficial layers of the finishing materials in 5-10 times. 2. Solution of detergents shall be applied to the surface to be treated by any method till its complete moistening, left for 5-10 minutes and then washed away by strong water jet. The treatment shall be repeated at least three times with 3-4 hours pauses for the surface drying.
3. Maximum permissible rates of carcinogenic volatile substances shall be measured in the room before and after smoke damage clean. Treatment shall be repeated, if necessary.
4. To renew initial color of the brick and other finishing materials changed as a result of high temperature influence, coloring of cleaning solutions by special dyes can be made during final stages of works.
5. Treatment shall be made only subject to condition that average daily temperature of outside air is minimum +5 °С. It is prohibited to carry out the works in non-ventilated rooms.
6. To remove unpleasant smell caused as a result of the fire, special industrial deodorant shall be applied.
In case of application of traditional methods you will have to spend a lot of money to remove soot and smoke damage and smell of burning after the fire. Restoration after the fire will require cutting out of damaged areas and dressing. It is necessary to apply sealant layer to avoid the smell of burning to appear.
Removal of soot and smoke damage and smell of burning after the fire is very slow and expensive process. After the surfaces are cleaned with scrapers and brushes it is necessary to apply sealing layer to remove smell in case if soot and smoke remains in surface pores.
